ECUMM 5 Main Characteristics
It uses 32bit PowerPC Processor. There is 1 MB memory
dedicated to the program and calibrations memory, and it is a component
part of the processor chip. For transient actions writing and setting
changes during the tuning, there is RAM 512KB. EEPROM memory (32KB to
256KB) is for writing errors and actions. The records are using
internal realtime clock for setting-up the time line. This clock is
used as well for setting the time of ECU function. All output timing is
made with resolution of 1 microsecond.
Physical dimensions:170 x 160 x 35 mm with attached connectors
weight: 343 g without loom. The box is OEM VW group, water resistant
as is the connector.
Actual list of applications is mainly in racing cars, because it is
primarily designed for racing cars, although it has many functions you
can find in serial road cars:
